The band was started from students of the now defunct Edinburgh Blues Academy,

and their live show blends gritty standards with timeless favorites.

The band deliver groove-driven rhythms inspired by the classic blues players and their modern-day legends.

The Deke McGee Band are playing two sets from 8.05 till 10.00pm

They are a 5 piece band ..Drums, Double Bass, Piano/Hammond, Guitar and Saxaphone / Vocal

The guys in his Band have performed, played, recorded and shared the stage with Artists such as Joe Walsh, Buddy Guy, Imelda May, Brian Setzer, Hamish Stuart, Phil Guy, Tom Jones, Jeff Beck, Lazy Lester, Mike Sanchez, King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys, Sugar Blue, George Melly, The Fratellis, Band Of Friends , The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, The Nimmo Brothers, Otis Grand, Jackson Sloan and many more all over Europe and North America performing at different Festivals and Clubs.

Their music is all original Rhythm n’ Blues, Roots and Blues based on the classic Texas and New Orleans styles of the 40s, 50 s and 60's

*Unusually for Blues Clubs, all guests will get a seat. However due to the current demand only pre-pay persons at present are guaranteed a seat.

*Please also note that party's of 4 or more people can reserve a table in advance at nil cost.

*Drinks are at 'golf club' prices and car parking at the Golf Club is free.

*Non members of the golf club and children over 12 ( with a parent) are very welcome to attend

Our Venue

In the intimate atmosphere of the Prestonfield Golf Club function room, all guests get a comfortable seat and stunning views of 'Arthurs Seat' and the surrounding landscape. With an entry fee of only £5 for top class Blues entertainment, you also get free "off street" parking in our car park and visitors to the club will find our drinks prices at a very reasonable level. Doors open at 18.30 on club nights with the support act commencing around 19.30 The main artiste usually commences around 20.45 and last orders at the bar are at 22.00
